“We recently switched wood suppliers to Somerset Timber after struggling to find a consistent supplier of well seasoned wood. We run a mobile pizza business and often cater for weddings and other private events so we have to know that we can rely on our fire to get going quickly and burn hot for as long as we need.
Upon first contact with Mary our minds were instantly put at ease – she spoke with us at length about the products that they offered, what we were looking for and for what use and organised a delivery for the next working day.
When John delivered the wood he rang us as a courtesy in the morning to let us know what time he would be with us and was even happy to negotiate the small overgrown access road behind our house – no mean feat when you are travelling in reverse with tons of timber on board! John checked with us where we would be storing the wood and double checked what we would be using it for when he was on site, once again delivering excellent service.
The wood itself is fantastic – it is a mixture of different hardwoods and burns incredibly well, in fact it is so good that it has actually cut down our set up times at events by at least 30 minutes as we are no longer waiting for the temperature in the oven.
